Here was my 96 in front of the junk yard the day I got it in 2001. Since I was replacing the front end I used 97-01 parts. I was going to put in a turbo motor and some RS body parts but never got to it. The Phase 2 - 2.5 ran very good so I left everything alone. ![]() $1200 and only 43,000 miles
Must have hit a truck or SUV bumper and went under it. Luckly for me it just hit soft stuff and did no frame damage.

Still popped off the air bags, breaking the windshield. ![]() $1200 and only 43,000 miles Next, you start taking off everything bent.
Then once it's stripped down, time to start welding on the new stuff.
Here is the new Rad support, headlight buckets & fender apron all firmly attached
Then seal up all the seams to keep water from getting between the pannels
Spray everything with primer or sealer. I used tinted sealer, if you get a paint chip later it will still be blue underneath.
And here we are. Just needed lights and I drove it like this for several months before I got it painted. Looks like a real ricer now with primered parts.
Then here it was. A quick 600$ trip to Maaco gave me pretty good results.
Here it was when I took a performance driving course at Pacific Raceways in Kent. I had the 2.5 in there then, I was being passed by the WRX's but I was still hitting over 100 on the front straightaway.
